This is a collection of three folks songs associated with the Great Lakes. Each movement is arranged in a unique and enjoyable style. �The Erie Canal� is rhythmically uncomplicated but very dramatic. �Follow the Drinkin� Gourd� should be played in a bluesy jazz style. The soloists should stand and be allowed to improvise if they desire. �The Sailor�s Alphabet is a fun, fast three-four tune that the students will love.
